Ink Review: Spearmint by Private Reserve

This was the first green ink that I ever purchased. At the time I was looking for a good colour for proof checking technical drawings and the swab looked like a promising shade. What I received was a lovely shading ink in St. Patrick's Day green. While I don't write letters with this ink too often, this ink is always loaded up in a fine nibbed Pilot 78G, ready to add notes to a drawing that I am reviewing.

As can be seen above, the ink trace is lead by a narrow band of cyan immediately followed by a vibrant green that leans towards the yellow side of the spectrum.

Conclusions

I like this green a lot, when it runs out it will be an immediate repeat order. It does perform poorly on cheap papers so if you tend to use what is supplied in the office you may want to pick another green that performs better on copy paper. I hope to review other greens that are similar in shade so we will have to see whether these others behave better on Field Notes.
