Ink Properties

Shading: This ink has really nice shading properties, especially in wider nibs.
Bleed Through: Copy paper shows spot bleeding for all nib sizes but Field Notes and Rhodia fair quite well.
Show Through: Depending on the preference of the writer, the back side of Copy paper may be considered questionable for use but Field Notes and Rhodia are ready to go.
Saturation: Average saturation.
Sheen: None.
Water Resistance: 100% water resistant. It's really quite amazing.
Drying Time: Average dry time, 20 seconds using an EF nib on Rhodia.
Flow: Average flow while writing but the nib tends to dry out quickly when you pause to think. Higher than average lubrication.
Cleaning: Yet to be determined. Will update.

A uniform blue-grey throughout the trace which makes be believe that the ink is pigment based rather than die based.

Conclusions

This is a shade of blue that is new to me and I really like it. There are a whole host of pluses for this ink; it is waterproof, it has nice shading, it behaves well on most papers, the only downside that I can find is that it tends to dry out on the nib when you pause during use. Usually the first stroke appears ink starved and then the flow starts up again and all is right in the world. The ink's lubrication is really quite nice and the nib glides across the page. At $25 a bottle, this ink is certainly an investment but it is an investment that I think is worth making. If you are looking for an Every Day Carry ink for use in pocket notebooks, this one is certainly worthy of your attention.
