I started my new Hobonichi on January 1st and I wanted to load a Pilot Blue Black cartridge into my journalling pen. After looking in all of the common places, I came to the conclusion that my Blue Black cartridges were at work and if I wanted to write with one while on vacation, I was going to have to steal it from my Namiki Capless with the medium nib unit.
That was fine but it meant that the Capless was free to try out a new ink. I had a package of Pilot Blue cartridges that have never been used so why not put them into rotation. What a crap ink! Completely unremarkable in both colour and performance. Blue Black is great but after 48 hours in the pen, the Pilot Blue cartridge is in the trash with five more unused cartridges soon to follow.
